Terms and conditions

To protect your own interests please read the conditions carefully before you buy or bid for a voucher.  If you are uncertain as to your rights under them or you want any explanation about them please email our customer queries department BEFORE you place the order.  YOU ARE ADVISED TO PRINT AND RETAIN THESE TERMS FOR YOUR RECORDS.

Vouchers are redeemable in whole against cruises listed under the various cruise Itineraries within their relevant section on the site,

No partial refund given for a voucher under any circumstances for instance when  is used on a lesser value category for example using a Diamond voucher to purchase a Platinum cruise or due to exchange rates a voucher is worth more than the current advertised cruise price.


Vouchers have no cash value and are non refundable, Once an offer is booked this is also non refundable and cancellation will result in loss of voucher.


Vouchers are for 2 people sharing a Cabin, If only one person is travelling there is no refund offered or option to split, Unfortunately Cruise Companies charge a surcharge for single occupancy which makes the cost to us more or less the same as double occupancy.


Face Value of voucher represents a saving over UK full Retail Non discounted Published Brochure Prices by Cruise line or by Cruise Direct UK Ltd being the Tour Operator for said Cruise Only Holiday. Including a £150 per Year Option fee which is included in Voucher Retail price.


Cruise Offers published on the website are updated on a weekly basis and during that week an offer can become sold out and we are not in any way responsible if this occurs.


All Offers are limited to a maximum of 2 cabins per voucher holder/Household/Family unless specifically agreed beforehand by Cruisedirect UK Ltd/Cruisevoucher staff

Suspected abuse of this may result in loss of booking privileges and already booked cabins being released back on system. 

Holders of Multiple Vouchers may only book 1 offer every 30 days regardless of number of cabins agreed on offer.

Designated Popular Offers (From 1st October 2009 called Premium Offers) such as Alaskan, Transatlantic, Australian and Disney Cruises and all Titanium offers will be limited to 1 cabin per voucher holder/Household/Family per annum.

Further cabins can be purchased at Cruise Direct UK Ltd’s Group rate subject to availability. 

Unless otherwise stated all offers are for Inside Cabins, Options to upgrade to Outside, Balcony and Suites may be requested and prices will always be highly competitive.


All cruises on a cruise only basis it is your responsibility to get to and from embarkation / disembarkation ports. No Air or transportation is included.

Unused Vouchers are transferrable for a service/shipping charge, once transferred the original expiry date is still In effect and cannot be extended..


Number of cruises offered within any section may vary from time to time and in high sales months or months when offers are limited certain periods may have no cruises offered. The type of cruise offered may vary due to currency exchange fluctuations between the UK Pound the Euro and USA Dollar and seasonal Fare adjustments.


Documentation:

As visa and documentation requirements vary by country and are subject to change, it is guest’s responsibility to check any visa requirements that may be applicable to them for every port of call as well as embarkation and disembarkation ports.

Local immigration office, or the embassy or consulate for each country they will visit on their cruise to verify current entry requirements. It is the guest's responsibility to obtain required visas and other documentation prior to sailing, including vaccinations for infectious diseases.


Travel Protection:


As with all holiday vacations we recommend all guests take out a full travel insurance policy that includes cruise cover.


Service Charges:

Onboard gratuities are additional and with some cruise lines may be automatically added to your onboard account. If you wish to take care of your own gratuities please contact the purser’s desk once onboard ship and ask for them to be removed.



Advance Guest Registration:

Guests are requested to complete Advance Guest Registration form We will either forward documents or guest will be required to complete at the cruise terminal at least two (2) hours prior to the departure time noted on their cruise documents.



Final Boarding Time Policy:

Please be advised that on embarkation day, all guests must be onboard the ship no later than 2 hours prior to the departure time noted on their cruise documents or they will not be permitted to sail.


CDUL Refers to Cruise Direct UK Ltd trading as Cruisevoucher

By booking through cruisevoucher you agree that you are joining a Group controlled by CDUL, Excursions and upgrades should be made through CDUL as your agent and will be charged by the cruiseline usually in U.S Dollars.

Cabins are allocated from CDUL’s group holdings / or late negotiation /space filling contracts on stated cruise sailing. Once a Voucher holder books and CDUL Confirms to enter into a booking contract, CDUL may use any of above including late negotiation to supply the contracted cabin, CDUL constantly holds/Monitors said contracts to guarantee that cabins space is not sold out. In the event that all Cabins in the contracted category sell out prior to CDUL booking, the additional cost to book a higher category cabin is at CDUL's expense.

If for any reason said contract cannot be executed for reason within or beyond CDUL’s control an alternative cruise with similar itinerary from a port within a reasonable distance of the original may be offered or a refund of no more than the original purchase price of the voucher may be issued or the voucher reused, this applied to cruise cancellation/changes at the cruiselines/CDUL’s end and as already stated cancellation by customer  for any reason is non refundable and no other option will be offered.

CDUL Will complete contracted bookings No later than 10 days prior to sailing in order to comply with new security regulations. With exception of late offers entered into and agreed with the cruise company in less time.


Cruise Tickets/Documentation

E-Tickets in this case we will issue you log in information approx 4 weeks before departure, late negotiation  bookings may be as late as 10 days before sailing to achieve optimal late negotiation pricing.

You will then be required to complete online security information and print off boarding passes.  You can also book shore excursions and other options at this point.


Any change of passengers is subject to a $100 handling cost by CDUL  added to any Cost charged by the cruise line, In many circumstances change of passenger will not be possible.


CDUL is in no way responsible for any errors in listings, pricing or text contained within this web site and has the right to correct any mistakes and change said mistake without liability, No booking is guaranteed until confirmed by reply once a booking order has been received.


CDUL will pass on any Complimentary cabin upgrades or if requested allow passengers to upgrade to desired category At a cost of no more than the brochure discounted rate difference between the contracted category and the requested.


Any change to ports of call or change of dates/cancellation by cruise line is completely beyond control of CDUL and is passenger’s responsibility to pursue Avenues for loss recovery with cruise line should this event occur.


3rd and 4th Passengers in Cabins will be charged 3rd and 4th passenger rates by the cruiseline vouchers cannot be used for this.



By placing an Order and purchasing a voucher from www.cruisevoucher.co.uk  you enter into a legally binding agreement with us on the following Conditions.  You should read and understand these Conditions because they affect your rights and liabilities.

THESE CONDITIONS DESCRIBE THE BASIS FOR PURCHASE BY YOU AND SALE BY US OF THE PRODUCTS DESCRIBED ON THIS WEB SITE.

1. Interpretation
1.1 In these Conditions:
'Conditions' means the standard Terms and Conditions of sale set out in this document;
'Contract' means the contract for the sale of the Goods;
'Payment Card' means the credit or debit card or other payment system chosen by you to be used as the method of payment for the Goods of which you have provided details to us when placing the Order;
'Goods' which you have ordered including any instalment of the goods or any parts for them which are available for purchase from our Web Site in accordance with the Conditions;
'Information System' means a system for generating, sending, receiving, storing or otherwise processing electronic communications;
'Order' means any order placed by you with us for the supply of Goods;
'Order Form' means the electronic order form completed and submitted electronically by you;
'Web Site' our presence on the world wide web, currently accessible via the address [www.cruisevoucher.co.uk].
1.2 Reference to any statute or statutory provisions shall be deemed to include any statutory modifications or re-enactments thereof or any rules or regulations made there under or any enactment repealing and replacing the act referred to.
1.3 Unless the context otherwise requires:-
1.3.1 words importing the singular shall include the plural and vice versa;
1.3.2 words importing the masculine gender shall include the feminine gender and vice versa;
1.3.3 references to persons shall include bodies of persons whether corporate or incorporate.
1.4 Unless the context otherwise requires references to clauses shall be construed as references to clauses of these Conditions.
1.5 Headings are inserted for convenience only and shall not affect the construction or interpretation of these Conditions.

2. Basis of the sale
2.1 we shall sell to you and you shall purchase only those goods which you have set out in an order and which have been accepted by us. We reserve the right to reject any order. Unless otherwise agreed in writing each such sale of Goods will be subject to these terms and conditions.
2.2 No Order submitted by you shall be deemed to be accepted by us unless and until confirmed by e-mail or in writing by us.
2.3 No variation to these Conditions shall be binding upon us unless and until agreed by e-mail or in writing by us.
2.4 Any error or omission in any information or document issued by us shall be subject to correction provided that the correction does not materially affect the contract.

3. Orders
3.1 The quantity, quality and description of the Goods will be those set out in your Contract (if accepted by us).
3.2 Orders are accepted at our sole discretion but are normally accepted if the Cabins  are available, the order reflects current pricing, you have not ordered from us within 30 days for normal cruises and 1 year for premium.

4. Cancellations will forfeit 100% of voucher , no refund or alternatives can be offered.

5. Terms of payment
5.1 Upon providing us with details of the Payment Card and submitting the Order you :
5.1.1 confirm and undertake that the information contained within the Order is true and accurate and that you are duly authorized to use the Payment Card; and
5.1.2 authorize us to deduct from the Payment Card account the full price of the Goods and all other payments which may become due to us under the Contract.
5.2 If it is not possible to obtain full payment for the Goods from your account on delivery of the Goods to you, we can cancel the Order or suspend any further deliveries to you. This does not affect any other rights we may have.

5.3 We will not pass your personal information on to any third party without your permission.  Unless solely due to our negligence we cannot be held liable for any losses you may suffer.  If in any event your payment card is used fraudulently you are entitled to cancel the payment and be reimbursed by the card issuer without being charged for the loss.

6. Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence we will not be liable under this contract for any loss or damage caused by us or our agents in circumstances where:
i) there is no breach of a legal duty of care owed to you by us or by any of our employees or agents;
ii) such loss or damage is not a reasonably  foreseeable result of any such breach;
iii) any increase in loss or damage resulting from breach by you of any term of this contract.
 In the event that you are using the supply address in part for commercial purposes then no liability for loss of profits or other economic loss arising out of a breach of this agreement can be accepted.

7. Subject to our obligations, and your rights under the Regulations, we shall not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of our obligations in relation to the Goods if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond our reasonable control.

8. We assume no responsibility for the contents of any other web sites to which this Web Site has links.

9. Right to Cancel
9.1 You have a cooling off period of 14 days after the date on which you have received the Goods to cancel the Contract, and return the Goods at your cost and receive a full refund of the purchase price and any delivery cost.
9.2 The right to cancel this contract will not apply in respect of:
  Contracts for accommodation, transport, catering or leisure services which are arranged for a specific time or date, e.g. train, airline or cruise tickets or hotel bookings and package holidays

10. Communications
10.1 Any communication sent electronically by e-mail or otherwise:
10.1.1 will be deemed to have been sent once it enters an Information System outside the control of the originator of the message;
10.1.2 will be deemed to have been received by the intended recipient at the time that in a readable form it enters an Information System  which is capable of access by the intended recipient;
10.1.3 will be deemed to have been dispatched in the case of a business at its principal place of business and in the case of an individual where he or she ordinarily resides;
10.1.4 will be deemed to have been received in the case of a business at its principal place of business and in the case of an individual where he or she ordinarily resides.
10.2 To protect your own interests you should ask for a delivery receipt for any such and retain a hard copy of that delivery receipt and the original correspondence.

11. General
11.1 Any communication sent by post will be deemed received by the intended recipient three days following mailing where sent by first class post or five days after mailing where sent by second class post.
11.2 The clauses of these Conditions and each sub-clause thereof are several and if any part of any clause or sub-clause shall be void, invalid or unenforceable then the remainder of such clauses or sub-clauses shall nevertheless be valid and enforceable.
11.3 No term of the Contract is intended to confer a benefit on, or be enforceable by, any person who is not a party to the Agreement (whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise).
11.4 If any provision of these Conditions is held by any court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable in any jurisdiction in whole or in part, it will not affect the validity or enforceability of the other provisions of these Conditions and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected nor will it affect the validity, lawfulness or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction.
11.5 We will try and solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently.  If you are not happy with the way we deal with any disagreement and you want to take court proceedings you must do so within the United Kingdom.
11.6 The headings in these Conditions are for convenience only and will not affect their interpretation.
